RICS is working with University and College Admissions Service (UCAS) to target students starting RICS accredited undergraduate degree courses in the UK. Each student has received an invitation to join RICS as a student member.

UCAS has mailed around 1 600 students including over 200 internationally based students. The communication includes:

• A covering letter from UCAS
• A welcome letter from RICS
• A brochure explaining who RICS are and the benefits of student membership and a career in surveying
• An RICS student membership application form and pre-paid reply envelope.

UCAS process 450 000 applications from individuals interested in higher education each year and are perfectly positioned to provide RICS with access to individuals studying courses in land, property and the built environment.
