Make Your Experience Count - Are You Experienced?

18 June 2007

Having the RICS mark after your name can make all the difference to your career and we are committed to helping you gain your RICS designation.

When first enrolling on the APC it is likely that candidates will join on a route where they had little or no prior experience in the surveying field and had to record 2 years of structured training.  Did you know however that there are other routes available for those with accumulated relevant experience to help them get through the APC/ATC training faster?

Graduate 2 and 3 routes require 5 or 10 years prior experience in a relevant surveying field respectively, but the good news is that pre-degree experience can count towards this.

The Graduate 2 route to membership means that structured training can be completed within 1 year instead of 2 and the Graduate 3 route to membership means application for final assessment can be done almost as soon as you are ready!

You are able to change from your current route to one of the above by simply sending your CV to contactrics@rics.org with a covering note requesting the change.

Our Contact Centre will then confirm your eligibility for the new route.  More details of these routes are available on this website.

We will be putting on some regional events which will clarify the information provided above and help get you 'back on track'.  Invites for these events will be sent out via email so please make sure that your contact details are up-to-date.

All events will be listed on RICS.org so keep checking for details.
