Inclusive design role for CABE

05 August 2005

The UK Government have asked the Commission for Architecture & the Built Environment (CABE) to take over the support and development of the key advisory body on the built environment needs of disabled people, with a specific remit for access and inclusive design.

The Inclusive Environment Group (IEG) will operate as an advisory group to CABE's board of commissioners. Established as a high-level working group, the IEG includes representation from a wide cross-section of disabled people, regulators, built environment interests and observers from Government.
