The final element of the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive comes in on 1 October meaning that all non dwellings (commercial property), with very few exceptions, will require an energy performance certificate and accompanying recommendation report when constructed, sold or rented out. In addition public funded buildings occupied by public authorities over 1000m2 where the public has regular access will need to a display energy certificate.
