Promoting the profession – new Rural careers leaflet released

14 July 2008

RICS has developed a new careers leaflet aimed at promoting the profession of Rural Chartered Surveyors.

The guide, Why become a Rural Chartered Surveyor? is a concise eight-page leaflet which provides a snapshot introduction to the career path, highlighting the key skills required; entry routes and the benefits of attaining Chartered status.

A full PDF version is available to download to the right of this page. Hard copies are also available, (please email CMallett@rics.org for more information) and a distribution campaign is in development.

For further information on becoming a Rural surveyor, please see Rural careers – the diverse profession.

This is a comprehensive guide from RICS which contains a range of detailed case studies that help to outline the diverse and challenging nature of the profession of the Rural Chartered Surveyor and provides a distinctive flavour of the range of work that they engage in.

This guide is also available from the download panel at the right of this article.

The Land Group has also produced similar guides in this series for Planning and Development Surveyors. Career guides for aspiring Minerals and Waste, Environment and Geomatics surveyors will be released later this year.
