Every member of the RICS, whether student or trainee of any age, or chartered surveyor under 35 is automatically a member of RICS matrics, representing some 40 000 members of the RICS internationally.
Locally, our aims are to provide a flexible and responsive support network for the 1000 members of RICS matrics Northern Ireland by:
- Promoting the RICS to schools and universities in order to encourage all students to become members as early as possible.
- Providing APC Doctors to support and advise APC/ATC candidates, conducting sessions prior to interim and final assessments.
- Delivering a diverse programme of professional seminars and lectures on topical issues, providing high quality CPD and promote essential life long learning opportunities.
- Having a voice within the RICS at all levels to highlight issues affecting our members.
- Conducting inter-professional liaison - enhancing the communication and activities with other young professionals through to create an enhanced understanding of each others professions and to maximise business opportunities.
- Organising a full and active range of social, sporting and charity events. Events include 5-a-side football, golf competition, auction competition, wine tasting, clay pigeon shooting, marathon relay, sponsored cycle and gliding.
