The Interviews:
Final assessment interviews in Oceania are normally held three times a year and take place locally within each state. The interview will last approximately one hour and is designed to determine whether the candidate:
• can express themselves clearly in an oral presentation and interview
• can demonstrate, in support of their written submissions, their understanding of the knowledge gained and competencies achieved during the training
• have an acceptable understanding of the role and responsibilities of a chartered surveyor
• can apply their professional and technical skills to benefit those who employ their services.
Applying:
All APC candidates who are expected to have completed their minimum training requirements by the proposed interview dates will be sent an application pack. Candidates should expect to receive these approximately one month before the applications are due.
Please see the interview schedule below for all the upcoming interview dates and deadlines.
Results:
RICS will normally send the results 21 days after the interview. It is the candidate’s responsibility to check RICS has their up-to-date address. The result will be either a pass or referral. If the candidate is successful they will be awarded professional membership of RICS (MRICS). If the candidate receives a referral they will be informed of the next steps to be taken.
