The recent RICS Oceania half day session on Office Buildings: Valuing Yesterday's, Managing Today's, Understanding Tomorrow's was a great success, with over 70 property and construction professionals in attendance.

The session provided guidance to managers and owners on achieving the potential of existing buildings through a series of presentations and a hypothetical discussion Chaired by John Goddard FRICS. 

The seminar also set out to answer several key questions:

• Will the returns from yesterday's non-green buildings plummet as accelerating obsolescence and depreciation force values down?
• How should today's green buildings be managed to optimise returns?
• What will be the influences shaping the office buildings of tomorrow?
