Event Overview
Charles Couzens will lead a tour around the pioneering eco-homes which are currently being build in Stawell, Nr Bridgwater. When completed these homes will be some of the best low carbon homes in the country.
They will complement the conservation area and enhance the quality of life for residents, whilst having minimal impact on the environment.
They will blend both traditional and contemporary design to offer homes that utilise sustainable technologies such as solar panels and wood pellet stoves.
This will help to ensure a healthy internal environment with low heating and electricity bills. Specially landscaped gardens will support wildlife and provide residents with space to grow their own produce.
ECOS Homes previous development at Langport, Great Bow Wharf and Yard, won the South West RICS Awards for Sustainability, Regeneration and Project of the Year. Great Bow Wharf and Yard have now gone forward to the National RICS Awards.
