Learn online from the location you like ...

All you have to do is visit cpd.rics.org to get started.

RICS Scotland is committed to making sure members take part in lifelong learning (LLL) and continued professional development (CPD). And now it’s even easier to expand your knowledge and keep up with changes to legislation.

A number of online modules are available for you to complete at your own pace from anywhere with internet access and they’re good value too! The LLL online modules cost between £42 and £68 plus VAT each.

The first six modules available online are:

  • Planning etc (Scotland) Act 2006
  • Whole Life Costing
  • Property Taxation
  • Alternate Dispute Resolution
  • Compulsory Purchase and Compensation
  • Fire Risk Assessment

The modules take between 1.5 and 3.5 hours to complete but because they are done online, via the RICS website, it means you can spend 30 minutes here or 20 minutes there working on it whether you are on your lunch break, at home or even on the train!

You have 12 months to complete the course from when you first register. You simply work through the module material and then complete the assessment sections as you go along.

The modules complement the lunchtime CPD/LLL series currently run in Glasgow and Edinburgh as well as the regional seminars in Inverness, Aberdeen, Perth and Dundee.

The LLL online modules are ideal for those who find it difficult to travel to RICS Scotland CPD/LLL events or for those who want to take part in additional learning while maintaining a work life balance.

All you have to do is visit cpd.rics.org to get started.

If LLL online proves popular and receives the support of members over the next few months, it may be expanded.
