Parliament quotes RICS research in wind farm debate

RICS research into the impact of wind farms on UK house prices has been mentioned during a debate in the House of Commons.

During the discussion former Environment Minister, Elliott Morley MP, argued that the main objection to wind farms is the impact that they will have on local house prices.

He quoted the RICS research which showed that although there were short term impacts on house prices, there was little impact in the longer term as people grew to accept the presence of the wind farm in their area.

RICS is currently funding further research in this area.
