Ireland has recently taken its first tentative steps towards a cadastral licensing system with the release of a green paper on 'Proposed Reforms to Boundary Surveys'. Ireland maintains the general boundary system, along with the UK the only other country in the EU to do so, but is looking to reform the boundary system in conjunction with the Property Registration Authority (PRA) and Ordnance Survey Ireland.
